<p style="text-align: justify;">Proyek diartikan sebagai  suatu kegiatan sementara yang berlangsung dalam jangka waktu tertentu, dengan  alokasi sumber daya terbatas dan dimaksudkan untuk melaksanakan tugas yang  telah ditentukan. Keberhasilan suatu proyek bergantung pada sejauh mana proyek  tersebut dapat memtenuhi kriteria keberhasilan proyek. Kriteria tersebut antara  lain : Manfaat  proyek, Kualitas  proyek , jangka waktu  penyelesaian dan biaya yang dikeluarkan.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Proyek merupakan interaksi  yang rumit antara faktor manusia, material, peralatan, metoda, modal dan  manajemen. Oleh karena itu, agar proyek dapat berjalan dengan baik dan memenuhi  kriteria di atas, maka diperlukan kesiapan sumber daya manusia yang akan  menanganinya.
