PENDAHULUAN :

Setiap penggunaan bahan tidak terlepas dari beberapa kriteria pemilihan. Melalui berbagai cara dan percobaan, sifat-sifat bahan dapat ditingkatkan sebaik mungkin, tetapi tidak mungkin memilih suatu bahan yang hanya memiliki satu sifat saja.

Seperti halnya pada umumnya upaya keteknikan, pemilihan bahan adalah suatu proses penyelesaian masalah. Setiap pemakai bahan dalam lingkup teknologi mekanik harus mengetahui setiap sifat bahan yang umumnya digunakan. Lebih dari itu harus dapat menilih bahan yang paling sesuai untuk suatu kebutuhan khusus.

Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Pemilihan Material (Material Selection).

Para praktisi tingkat operator, tingkat penyelia atau perencana bidang material pada industri rekayasa.

TUJUAN TRAINING :

Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini, diharapkan peserta mempunyai kemampuan  tentang pengetahuan pemilihan material.

CAKUPAN MATERI TRAINING :

1.  Konsep pengetahuan material.

2.  Klasifikasi dan penggunaan material.

  • Logam : Ferrous dan Non Ferrous.
  • Bukan Logam : Polimer (Plastik, Karet), Keramik, Komposit, dll
  • Jenis standar dan standar produk

3.  Baja dan baja paduan.

  • Klasifikasi baja: berdasarkan sistem, berdasarkan mampu keras (baja karbon rendah, menengah, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi), berdasarkan jenis paduan dan bentuk struktur mikro, berdasarkan AISI dan SAE.
  • Unsur paduan pada baja dan pengaruhnya

4.  Baja perkakas (tool steel)

  • Water Hardening Tool Steels (Tipe W), Shock Resistance Tool Steels (Tipe S), Oil Hardening Tool Steels (Tipe O), Air Hardening Tool Steels (Tipe A), Karbon dan Khromium Tinggi (Tipe D), Hot Working Tool Steels (Tipe H), High Speed Tool Steels (Tipe T dan M), dan Cemented Carbides.

5.  Besi cor (cast iron)

  • Gray Cast Iron, Ductile Cast Iron, White Cast Iron, Malleable Cast Iron
  • Komposisi kimiawi dan sifat mekanik besi cor.

6.  Aluminium paduan

  • Komposisi kimiawi, penggunaan dan sifat mekanik aluminium paduan
  • Aluminium paduan dan komposisi kimiawinya: Aluminium-Manganese Alloy
    (type 300X), Aluminum-Magnesium Alloys (5xxx), Aluminium-Copper Alloys
    (Seri 2xxx), Aluminum-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy  (Seri 6xxx), Aluminum-Silikon-Magnesium Casting Alloy, Aluminium-Copper Casting Alloy, Aluminium-Lithium  Alloy.

7.  Tembaga dan paduannya

  • Tembaga paduan tempa  C 100  s.d. C 799, Tembaga paduan cor C 800 s.d C 999.
  • Komposisi, sifat mekanik dari tembaga paduan.

8.  Pipa baja

  • Klasifikasi pipa baja, jenis pipa dan penggunaannya, pipa bertekanan, standar pipa (ASTM, API, CSA).

He was graduated from politeknik  universitas brawijaya malang for his diploma in mechanical engineering majoring on mechanical maintenance and repairing, from ITS Surabaya for his bachelor in mechanical engineering majoring on production engineering, and from ITB Bandung for his master program in mechanical engineering majoring on production engineering. Now he is as lecturer at mechanical engineering Politeknik Negeri Bandung(before as poltek ITB). Ir. Sugeng Isdwiyanudi, MT. has followed many trainings/courses to improve his competence. In campus he has many experiences e.g.: as head of Laboratory industrial Metrology POLBAN, as head of Laboratory Metrology POLBAN, as director SPMU TPSDP POLBAN (ADB Loan 1792-INO), director assistant administration and finance SPMU TPSDP POLBAN (ADB Loan 1792-INO), head of production research group POLBAN, head of department mechanical engineering P4D, department secretary of mechanical department P4D, head of Laboratory Pneumatics and Hydrolics P4D. He invites industrial participants to share and discuss in his training class.
