Organizations are increasingly requiring schedule risk Analysis in advance of key decision points to make sure they have a realistic view of their project timeline or schedule. Projects often overun their schedules because the schedule is not the idealized perfect schedule but is influenced by forces that lead to an infeasible plan form the beginning. Both good quality project scheduling and risk analysis will provide a complete of the prospects for the projects timeline. The Project Scheduler and Project Manager need to know “The Schedule Best Practices” and assure him that these are being applied.
