Basic Drilling And Completion For Non Technical

Basic Drilling And Completion For Non Technical

Yogyakarta | February 16 – 18, 2016 | Fee: at Proposal

OVERVIEW
This course will address the basic steps required by the well construction team (drillers, engineers, geoscientists) to develop a robust well plan from basic data available from seismic and offset wells. This course gives a technical overview of the science and art of drilling operations, completion practices and completion wellbore enhancement or remedial workover techniques (well intervention). Drilling and completion personnel will learn how the producing reservoir can be damaged or stimulated by what they do. The participants learn to visualize what is happening downhole, discover what can be accomplished and gain an appreciation for wellbore risks and the possibility of damage to the formation; and how drilling and completion practices can alter reservoir interpretation and performance.
OBJECTIVES
After completion of this course, the participants will able to:
  • Knowing and understanding the scope of work in drilling operations
  • Knowing and understanding the meaning and relation to formation pressure drilling plan
  • Knowing and understanding the rig components and their functions
  • Knowing and understanding the types of drilling materials (mud, casing and cement) and their functions
  • Knowing and understanding the problems of drilling and handling
  • Knowing and understanding the HS&E aspects of the drilling operation
  • Knowing and understanding the planning stages wells
  • Know the latest technology of drilling technology and Workover Operations
